2024-2025 Transition Events

Students and their families that will be attending a new school during the 2024-2025 school year (Elementary students transitioning to Glenwood for 5th grade, Glenwood students transitioning to Oakwood for 7th grade and Oakwood students transitioning to GlenOak High School for 9th grade are invited to our annual "Transition Events" on the dates and times listed below. 
 

Freshman Transition Event | GlenOak High School
Date: Thursday, February 29, 2024

Times:

• 5:30-6:30 PM (Students with last names beginning with A-L and New Enrollees)
• 6:30-7:30 PM (Students with last names beginning with M-Z)

Incoming Freshmen (current 8th graders) and their families are invited to attend the Freshman Information Night where they will be able to learn about the classes and programs available to GlenOak High School students. The program will begin with a brief introduction in the theater followed by the opportunity to tour the high school, meet the 9th grade teachers and learn about the activities available to students. 7th Grade Transition Event | Oakwood Middle School
Date: Monday, March 4, 2024

Times:

• 5:30-6:30 PM (Students with last names beginning with A-L)
• 7:00-8:00 PM (Students with last names beginning with M-Z)

Incoming 7th grade students (current 6th graders) are invited to an informational night at Oakwood Middle School to learn about the scheduling process and the opportunities available to students. After a short presentation in the theater, students and their families will have the chance to take a self-guided tour of the building where they will get to meet teachers, counselors, coaches and activity sponsors. 5th Grade Transition Event | Glenwood Intermediate School
Dates: Monday, March 18, 2024 and Tuesday, March 19, 2024

Who:

• Students from Barr, Middlebranch, and Warstler should attend on Monday, March 18, 2024
• Students from Avondale, Frazer and Taft should attend on Tuesday, March 19, 2024

Times:

• 6:00-7:30 PM

Incoming 5th grade students (current 4th graders) are invited to an informational night at Glenwood Intermediate School to learn about the scheduling process and the opportunities available to students. Students and their families will be able to tour the building, learn about the scheduling process, meet teachers and learn more about the activities available to them by talking with activity sponsors and participating students.
